The history and traditions of Heritage
Memorials, Inc., reach back to the year 1874,
when Samuel Loewner Monuments opened for business
in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Several generations
of the Loewner family operated the business until
1962, when it was sold to and renamed James H.
Bryan Memorials. Eleven years later, Jeanne H.
Rinker purchased the business from the Bryan family
but retained the business name until 1980, when
she changed it to Heritage Memorials, Inc.
Continuing the tradition of service to the
families of the Shenandoah Valley and beyond,
Ms. Rinker has added two branch offices (Staunton
and Charlottesville) to the business that already
included Waynesboro, and installed in the Harrisonburg
location, the newest and most accurate machines
and computers to assist the skilled artists and
engravers in their work.

Price
is determined by five things: quality of granite, color,
size, finish and shape. Just as the value of a diamond
varies greatly and is determined by the cut, color and
clarity, granite also varies greatly in the color, clarity
and durability.
Small markers may cost only three or four hundred dollars, while
very large monuments may cost many thousands of dollars.
The most important thing is to learn what the differences
are and understand why some monuments cost more than others.
Then you can make an educated choice. |
